Indoor and outdoor racquetball and tennis courts can be found at various
membership and public locations including Lithia and Hunter Parks .
Excellent Alpine skiing and snowboarding is just 30 minutes from downtown
Ashland. The Mt. Ashland ski resort receives an annual snowfall of over 300
inches. Skiers and snowboarders can test their abilities from beginner to black
diamond runs on 23 different trails with a season that runs from November
through April.
Fishing is a fantastic way to spend a leisurely day, and the local fishing destinations are absolutely beautiful, wild, and scenic. Fish for salmon, steelhead and trout in the famous Rogue
and Klamath rivers. Fish for trout, largemouth and small mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish in our own Emigrant Lake, plus trout and largemouth and\or small mouth bass in 5 other local lakes.
Day trips from Ashland can include activities such as a Rogue River jet boat excursion, a trip
to the famous Oregon Coast, Crater Lake, Howard Prairie and Hyatt Lakes, or simply a picnic in one of the Rogue Valley's wonderful parks. And at the end of the day, you can be
home again… at home in Ashland!
