A few years ago, the people of Oregon decided not to rely on politicians to control property taxes and passed an initiative that rolled back assessed property values to 1995 and additionally limited any increase of assessed values to no more than 3% a year.

Buyers and Property Taxes

At the time you are ready to purchase an Ashland home, take into account the current annual property tax amount of a particular property of interest. Now consider that figure plus 3%. Searching Out Property Tax Examples by Price Range

The following maneuver is a simple way to view current property tax examples in a given price range through www.AshlandAgent.com ...

Go to the "Search Listings" page.
Go to Property Type and click on "residential" (or chosen property type), then "Ashland" (or chosen community.) Select your "price" range. Then click on "submit".
When the list of properties come into view, click on the "View Details" links. Scroll down the page and look for 'taxes'. This amount is the current annual property taxes being paid on each property.
